Non-Human Persona Workshop: Let's give nature a voice in the park!

Have you ever wondered what nature would say about our human behaviour? Do you ever stop to observe, smell, feel or hear the nature around you?

Nature is present everywhere, even in urban environments. However, in our fast-paced lives, we often fail to appreciate its beauty. Our workshop is designed to assist you in rediscovering the magic of nature, the source of life, health, happiness, and inspiration for your designs. 

Non-Human Personas (NHP):
As a designer familiar with user personas and profiles, you may have heard of non-human personas representing the animals and environments impacted by our creations. 

Non-human personas are a way to create an emotional connection with nature and non-human entities in Life-Centered Design through scientific research, creativity and imagination. They are a way to understand the needs and perspectives of non-human actants, and they help you create designs that include these actants. Creating a non-human persona involves scientific research, immersive research, emotional narrative, and communication through various mediums.

The workshop: 
We will host the Non-Human Persona (NHP) workshop in Amsterdam at the Westerpark! 

During this active, imaginative, and immersive activity, you will start by giving nature a voice in the park by creating a Non-Human Persona. Then, we will collectively design a small prototype, a creation that will inspire park-goers to connect with nature and embrace sustainable actions.

Rest assured, we will provide all the necessary workshop materials. All you need to bring is your imagination! 

As a family designer family, feel free to bring your kids or babies. Nature is fun for everyone!
