Maia Steinberg

Maia Steinberg is a Uruguayan professional music composer, classical singer, song&sound healer, and cultural entrepreneur, based in THE Netherlands. She is the founder and director of Project A - A voice journey, an artistic platform designed to create projects in the intersection of vocal art and social impact.

My dream is to empower people and build stronger communities using vocal art as a tool for social cohesion.

Besides being a trained music composer, singer and sound healer, I am an experienced community musician and animator that actively works as a workshop leader and runs different music & social projects as a cultural entrepreneur. 

My driving will is the desire to contribute to society as an artist, using the power of vocal art and interdisciplinary creation to empower people, build bridges and create inspiring projects. With Project A - A voice journey, I create a lot of different projects that range from wellbeing song concerts & gatherings to immersive sound experiences and community performances. 

I strongly believe in the power of music to connect and empower people, beyond mere entertainment; music is an incredible tool to transform peoples lives and society.

My ultimate goal is to create community operas and interdisciplinary performances using environmental and social sustainability as an inspiration. While I work towards this goal/dream, I am currently offering the following services:

-Wellbeing workshops: The wellbeing song club (meditation and singing) or Immersive sound experiences (A SONIC OASIS)

-Community workshops: Pop up song clubs, neighborhood song exchanges (community singing) or community performances creation.

-Wellbeing & sacred song concerts and folklore music concerts (Tango and Argentina/Uruguayan folklore).

-Interdisciplinary performances, mostly on the topic of environmental awareness.

-Soundtrack creation for theater pieces, audiovisuals, interdisciplinary performances and others. Sound design. 

I have been creating projects and workshops in many different cities (Rotterdam, Tilburg, Dordrecht, Amsterdam, among others) as well as in other countries. For this, I have been following different community music & entrepreneurship trainings in the Netherlands and abroad, giving me a lot of experiences in different contexts and with various groups of people.  

Apart from this, I am a graduated classical singer and music composer with more than 10 years of experience in music projects, having also done programs in cultural entrepreneurship and music & territory.
